Group of Restaurant looking for professional and experienced candidates to fill the following position: Chef de Partie
Position Overview: The Chef de Partie is responsible for a specific section of the kitchen, such as the grill, sauté station, or pastry section. They are responsible for preparing and cooking dishes to high standards, ensuring that they are delivered in a timely manner. The Chef de Partie should have strong culinary skills and be able to work independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and cook dishes according to the restaurant's standards and recipes.
• Manage their section of the kitchen, including ensuring that all dishes are prepared and served on time.
• Train and mentor junior chefs, helping them to develop their culinary skills.
• Ensure adherence to food safety and sanitation guidelines and maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen environment.
• Assist with menu development and recipe creation.
• Handle administrative tasks such as inventory management, ordering supplies, and managing payroll
• Collaborate with other sections of the kitchen to ensure a seamless dining experience for customers.
Requirements:
• Culinary knowledge, including knowledge of different cuisines, cooking techniques, and food preparation methods.
• Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or similar role in a high-volume restaurant or food establishment.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage time effectively to ensure that all dishes are prepared and served on time.
• Excellent communication skills to coordinate with other members of the kitchen team.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines and ability to maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen environment.
• Physical stamina to stand for long periods and work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.
Education and Experience:
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Culinary degree or certification preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a professional kitchen, with experience in their area of specialty.
• Experience with preparing and cooking dishes to high standards, maintaining inventory and adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines.
