Overview of the role
The primary aspect of the role will require you to continuously work on our client’s Google Ads accounts to increase conversions. Our approach to Google Ads is mainly below-the-line focuses, utilising Google’s platform to drive high-intent traffic to the website in order to generate conversions. A conversion is either a sale or a lead generated.
The secondary aspect of the role will be to utilise data from Google to make better decisions on keyword choices for our SEO team to focus on. You will also have the responsibility to check all SEO work to ensure that the On-page and Off-page are implemented correctly and also ensure that the SEO team is hitting their ranking targets within the required timeframe.

As a Google Optimisation Specialist, there is a strong expectation that through experience and training you will develop and extend your understanding of Google & SEO to help our clients increase their conversions.
Strong relationship skills to communicate with the internal team
Strong presentation skills when reporting to client (on bigger accounts)
A passion for digital asset creation and doing great work
Organisation – you will be responsible to manage your own workload and deliver assets within a certain time frame
Ability to remain calm under the pressure of meeting asset delivery deadlines
Ability to work with the account services team to understand briefs and client requirements
Ability to work as a team to achieve deadlines
Continuously learning/adding new skills to the mix
RESPONSIBILITIES
SEO - Search Engine Optimisation
Keyword Research: Conduct comprehensive keyword research to identify high-impact keywords
On-page Optimisation: Optimise website content, meta-descriptions, and title tags for
search engines.
Content Strategy: Develop a robust content marketing strategy and collaborate with the content team during the content production process
Link Building: Deploy off-page strategy and employ best practices in link building to improve website authority.
Technical SEO: Audit and optimise site performance, including load speed and mobile responsiveness, troubleshooting common SEO-related issues and errors.
SEO Audits/ Analytics: Utilise tools like SEMrush, Ahrefs, SEO Powersuite, Google Analytics 4 and Google Search Console to make informed decisions regarding keyword choices.
Competitor Analysis: Regularly monitor and analyse competitors’ SEO strategies to identify new opportunities and threats.
Google Ads Optimisation
Campaign setup: Setting up Google Ads campaigns by configuring ad settings, producing high-impact ad headlines, and descritions, and recommending reasonable budgets for clients.
Campaign Optimisation: Continuously work on client Google Ads accounts, optimise campaigns to drive high-intent traffic and maximise conversions through each campaign type Search, Performance Max, Display, Demand Gen and Shopping campaigns.
Keyword optimisation: Monitor best performing keywords and improve keyword Quality Score, optimise negative keyword lists to improve traffic quality.
Experience in Keyword Bidding Strategies: Implement and monitor suitable bidding strategies for keywords and campaign objectives.
A/B Testing or Experiments: Conduct A/B testing on Google Ads campaigns and websites to measure experiments and optimise conversion rates.
Conversion Rate Optimisation: Suggest making changes on landing pages, and website to generate more qualified leads and customers with a higher conversion rate.
Google Ads Audit: Review account structure, conversion tracking, keyword analysis, ad copy and creatives, bidding strategy, landing page, ad extensions and assets. Uncovering rooms for improvement and enhancing account performance.
General Responsibilities:
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Lead or participate in cross-functional initiatives, including Website Design, Developers and Social Media, to enhance the overall digital marketing strategy.
Client Consultation: Act as a business growth consultant for clients, offering recommendations on marketing strategies to improve lead/sales generation, increase brand value, and boost brand awareness.
Client Communication: Maintain strong relationships with clients, effectively communicate with the internal team, and present reports on larger accounts.
Reporting: Analyze data from Google Analytics 4, Google Ads, and other relevant platforms. Expert in Google Data Studio (Looker Studio) to prepare monthly account performance reports with high accuracy in data.
Budget Management: Keep track of digital marketing budgets to ensure cost-effective campaigns.
Professional Development: Keep up to date with new trends and services related but not limited to SEO tools and Google products, including Google Analytics 4, Google Data Studio, Google Tag Manager, and Google My Business.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Proficient in Google Ads, GA4, GTM, Merchant Center, Search Console, Looker Studio
Proven SEO experience, familiarity with on-page, off-page, technical SEO
Knowledge of Ad rank (Google Ads), keyword ranking factors (SEO), E-E-A-T
Experience with SEO software such as SEMrush, SEO Powersuite and similar tools
Knowledge of online platforms and Content Management Systems (CMS) Wordpress, Shopify
A clear understanding of all digital disciplines
